Term 3 Baking Club- Years 4-8

Baking Club is the most awesome and delicious after school club. Each week we’ll bake something different that you can take home and focus on a new skill. We’ll also learn cake decorating skills & work on pieces throughout the term to create an awesome show stopper cake complete with fondant and buttercream decorations. Baking Club is most suitable for children who love baking and want more opportunity to learn a range of skills. It’s the perfect way to meet like minded people & for children to participate in teamwork and collaboration- perhaps sports or music isn’t their thing. It’s also good for parents who want to encourage their children to learn how to bake but don’t want to clean up the mess! Timetable will consist of: Week 1: Cake & cake design. Week 2: Bread Week 3: Cupcakes Week 4: Savoury Muffins Week 5: Slice/brownies Week 6: Pastry Week 7: Cookies/biscuits Week 8: Final project- icing on the cake- Buttercream and Fondant. The details: Starts Wednesday 31st July for 8 weeks. 4pm- 5.30pm. You must book in for the whole term as we’ll be creating pieces for an end of term celebration project. Each term we will bake different things but have the same basic schedule. Absolutely no experience necessary. $45 a week or only pay for 7 weeks if paying the term in advance. There is absolutely no extra costs. No uniform, no material fees etc. Students in Years 4-8 only sorry. But make sure you keep an eye out for school holiday workshops which are suitable for younger students! Location is Heather’s Home Studio in Gate Pa. Address will be provided before the first Baking Club. There are only spots for 6 participants.
